Engineering Project Manager

DUTIES: BorgWarner Transmission Products, LLC seeks an Engineering Project Manager based out of our office at 3800 Automation Avenue, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. This position requires domestic travel, as needed, up to 10%.

Responsible for acting as the primary technical interface to the customer and engineering interface to Program Management and Sales; providing project management leadership for a cross functional technical team in the development, validation, and manufacturability of drivetrain solutions from pursuit to post-production support that meet and exceed our customer expectations; ensuring drivetrain solutions and associated work products are delivered on time and meet internal and external customer expectations; developing engineering project estimates and monitor/forecast engineering expenditures; holding fiscal responsibility for engineering project expenses and forecasting; providing change and problem management leadership in identification, planning, and tracking of changes and problem resolution; and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering degree and 96 months of experience in the job offered or a related occupation in developing automotive powertrain systems. Experience must include: experience conducting automotive project management; experience using Automotive SPICE or APQP support; experience using problem solving methodologies including 8D and 5 phase; experience using DFMEA, DRBFM, and ADVP&R; and experience using DRBTR. This position requires domestic travel, as needed, up to 10%.
