POSITION SUMMARY

BorgWarner is currently looking for an experienced and hardworking Technical Product Manager who embraces lean and agile practices and can share our passion for building an Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA)/Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) platform. The ideal candidate will have excellent business customer (product owner) client engagement skills and can take ownership of delivering the product from ideation to launch. This role will work in small, cross-functional teams, interact directly and continuously with business partners (product owners), data scientists, data engineers and product designers, to release product content and capabilities early and often. You will be asked to help resolve obstacles and ensure success and quality analytics results across BorgWarner. Our ambitions are to enable Charging Forward at BorgWarner and we are in search of innovative individuals to make this happen.

This position reports to the Director of Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) at our World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - What you'll be able to do:

• Work closely with product owners to understand their product vision and break it down into an actionable backlog of user stories for the development team.
• Focus on delivering product value through careful and deliberate prioritization.
• Work hands-on with the development team and other stakeholders to prioritize, plan, and deliver software and infrastructure that meets client requirements.
• Work with other Product Managers to understand the EDA/Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning platform vision and help them solve challenging issues.
• Conduct Requests for Proposals from initial stages through to Statement of Work and contract signatures with our development partners.
• Manage technology stack tools and infrastructure licenses, contracts, budget and negotiations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - The minimum requirements we seek:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager delivering products and leading internal or external product teams
• 2+ years of experience with Jira or similar Agile Tools.
• 2+ years of experience in delivering Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), or delivering analytics software products using iterative approaches
• Previous experience with Cloud technologies

Our preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, MBA or related field

• 2+ years of experience with Lean methodology
• Strong understanding of ML lifecycle, with focus on Feature Store principles and techniques, Model building and Model deployment tools.
• Experience working in automotive related projects.
• Ability to collaborate well with data scientists, engineers, designers, and Business Partners.
• Knowledge of design thinking principles
