The Business Process Analyst is directly responsible for building the Facility Insurance Contracts in Epic via the ePay module. The Analyst works with Team Leads, Subject Matter Experts, Facility Contracting Team and key Stakeholders. The incumbent will assist by performing the following tasks:

- Analyze, review, and evaluate Insurance Contract information on rates and rules of payments.
- Present analysis and interpretation of the Contracts and what is needed to have an accurate build.
- Support analysis on the variances seen after payments through workqueue and other tools in Epic.
- Develop details on variance analysis to assist with Payer issues or Contract build updates.
- Communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to the business
- Other duties as necessary

Primary Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance and direction of SBO leadership, assists with building out new Facility contract rates and rules when provided by the Facility for both Hospital and Ambulatory services
- Serves as the key data contact for assigned Contracts and the Build with the key stakeholder(s), fielding questions regarding the request data, variances, and posing any necessary questions back to the stakeholder(s) in order to validate the integrity of the data
- Demonstrates ability to analyze large volumes of data in order to produce useable results to meet evaluation objectives. Analysis may include the documentation of financial and operational opportunities, as well as opportunities to improve the build within Epic
- Successfully and seamlessly collaborates with other functional units within the Business Office, IT and Contracting to ensure timely design/build and deployment of new or amended Payer contracts, as well as ensures timely documentation and cataloging of issues identified
- Develops key documentation, including but not limited to: variance review, once validated, payer contract issues, trended payer issues with contract language and root cause analysis
- Prepares first draft documentation for SBO Leadership review and input, ensuring that all materials are client-ready
- Promotes team work and displays ability to effectively communicate and coordinate multiple activities within the SBO leadership team, key function units and directly with client leadership.
- Proactively and effectively provides required communications related to Contract builds:
- Stakeholder Communications - Provides formal communication plans for Contract build needs (i.e. Proprietary Fee Schedules); able to craft messages to a variety of stakeholder groups with success, ensuring engagement and buy-in; able to obtain needed communications from stakeholders; appropriate interactions with various levels of Optum Insight John Muir Health leadership with minimal guidance
- Influencing - In most situations, can skillfully represents points/position and settle differences with minimum noise; can bring teams to consensus and collaboration; can be direct and assertive as well as diplomatic; quickly gains trust of key stakeholders; has a good sense of timing

Required Qualifications:
- Current Certification in Epic ePay module for HB and PB builds
- 2+ years in healthcare Insurance Contract analysis
- Technical Knowledge
- Considerable reporting experience including report design and delivery, performing data mining activities
- Proven excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to develop appropriate methods for collecting, analyzing, forecasting, and trending data; familiarity with healthcare / finance terminology, metrics, and concepts
- Proven excellent organizational skills required (ability to multi-task, produce rapid turnaround, and effectively manage multiple projects)
- Proven high sense of responsibility and accountability; takes ownership and initiative
- Proven results-oriented with an eye toward the end-goal and business results as the objective of our projects

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
