Bardel is looking for 2D FX Artists who are coming available for a potential project. This is just an expression of interest.
What you'll do:
- Develop the 2D FX (e.g., water, smoke, dust, lightning, bubbles, fire, storms, shadows, blurs, explosions) to shape the overall look, mood, and style, enhancing the character, environment, or atmosphere.
- Continuously test and refine FX to ensure they meet the desired quality and align with the artistic direction of the project.
- Work closely with animators, compositors, and other artists to ensure that FX are seamlessly integrated into the final animation.
- Actively promote and communicate effective solutions to technical and creative challenges.
- Incorporate feedback from directors and peers to refine and improve the FX as needed throughout the production process.
- Meet assigned project deadlines and milestones.
- Attend regular FX launches and production meetings as required.
- Share knowledge with team members to ensure consistency and efficiency
What you'll bring:
- Previous experience as a 2D FX Artist or similar role in animation.
- A portfolio that demonstrates:
- Extensive experience using ToonBoom Harmony for FX creation.
- Strong ability to develop a wide range of 2D FX (e.g., water, smoke, fire) and understand how they enhance character, environment, and atmosphere.
- Solid understanding of FX animation techniques and principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively promote solutions, share knowledge, and incorporate feedback.
