Job Description

The Finance department at Hogan Lovells is undergoing an exciting period of growth and investment as it enhances its global capabilities. The firm has converted to a system that will better support the needs of our global senior management and financial users by replacing its multiple finance systems with a single finance solution based on Elite 3E. The primary focus of this role is to support the users of the current finance systems, which includes Elite 3E, Chrome River Expense and Invoice, Carpe Diem, Copitrak, Xcelerate, Power BI, eBillingHub, and any other system used by the global Finance function, as well as month-end support on a rotating basis.

The Financial Systems Analyst will work closely with an array of experienced IT and Finance professionals while supporting the various functions of the Finance department. The Financial Systems Analyst will combine their financial systems expertise and customer service skills to troubleshoot issues that may arise with the firm’s systems including: Elite 3E, Chrome River, Image Connect, online reporting, and others.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide general system and end-user functional support of Elite 3E, Chrome River, and online reporting
  • Monitor the firm’s support ticketing system, ServiceNow, for 3E and related issues
  • Manage vendor incidents and issues for the various financial systems applications
  • Produce client and custom reports (using SQL and Excel), as well as creating custom tables/data-marts, including ad hoc reporting which can include the use of SSAS
  • Research, analyze and resolve complex 3E data issues
  • Resolve or reassign support tickets in a timely manner
  • Provide month-end support to the global Finance department and perform month-end closing on a rotating schedule.
  • Communicate with team members, fee-earners, partners, and senior management globally.
  • Perform deployment testing in both the staging and production environments for finance development items on a rotating schedule
  • Perform monthly firm balancing tasks and processing
  • Assist with providing data and reports for the firm's annual audit
  • Create ad hoc reports in RR2, RR2.1 and 3E. Provide accurate financial data when requested.
  • Create scripts for mass updates of data working within the firm's Change Control policy and process.
  • Collaborate with Finance Systems team members globally to solve issues and provide solutions
  • All members of the firm are required to participate in our Global Citizenship program
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Elite 3E or equivalent experience;
  • Knowledge of Elite 3E relational database structure with two (2)+ years of experience writing SQL statements preferred. 
  • Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS) or equivalent software package with experience in complex report writing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Analysis Services, including knowledge of MDX, a plus. 
  • Experience supporting users in a law firm environment is preferred. 

HOURS

Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including one hour for lunch. This role will need to provide support to finance users, not only locally, but also globally, so candidates must be flexible to work overtime, as necessary. Vacations in December, January, or during month-end process allowed only if all duties are completed or covered.

Washington, DC: The annualized salary range for this position is $95,000 to $125,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
