Your Role

As a freight responsible, you will ensure a permanent follow-up of the transport of goods at the time of reception and dispatch.

The activities of the freight responsible are as follows:

• To manage the relationship with the forwarder and the carrier;
• Make proposals concerning the choice of carriers;
• Elaborate the weekly schedule of pick-ups for the carrier;
• Follow up on the overtime of the invoicing agents;
• Manage PTA for special transport requests;
• To follow up the situation of trailers ;
• Follow up the merchandise passing through the predetermined checkpoints until it arrives at the factory ;
• Transport forecasting & Optimization ;
• Question of the logistic flow.
• Ensure daily monitoring of the number of trailers used (Import and Export) in order to avoid disruptions;
• Ensure the follow-up of the occupation rate and mileage in order to optimize transport costs;
• Elaborate and follow up statistics and transport costs on a weekly basis;
• Supervise reception and shipping;
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health and safety standards.

Your Background

• You got a Master's degree in Logistics, with one to two years of experience in the automotive industry or similar position.
• You have good Leadership Competencies,
• You have good level in Excel, Reporting and analysis,
• Advanced presentation skills,
• You Speak French and English languages Fluently.
