Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency features and improvements for the services of a cloud-based content management system
- Ensuring all designs and coding comply to documented user stories, security best practices, and performance guidelines
- Breaking down epics into well-defined user stories
- Developing or managing development with team members
- Building and designing test frameworks as required
- Participating in daily stand-ups and team planning sessions as part of our Kanban development methodology
- Providing technical direction and assisting other team members for problem resolution
Minimum Requirements
You must possess the following qualifications to be considered for this position.
- At least five years of software development experience, both with front end UI and back end.
- Experience in backend development of services that use restful-web service endpoints
- Web development skills including HTML, CSS, and JS frameworks (Angular or React)
- Understanding of web security (OWASP, SANS, CORS)
- Understanding of language-specific concepts such as inheritance, scoping, type-coercing, etc.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
Competency in the following areas will help you excel in this position:
- Familiarity with JavaScript build and task-runner technologies such as NPM/Gulp/Grunt/Webpack
- Experience with test automation and willingness to cover your code with automated tests
- Test automation frameworks including Mocha, Chai, Pact, Cypress
- JSON data interchange format / XML
- Git and GitFlow in a team environment (merge requests, branching, push, and pulls)

- Proven and demonstrable skills as it relates to verbal and written communication (in English)
- Ability to estimate work and track time on tasks
- Ability and desire to focus on deadlines and complete work efficiently
- Ability and willingness to help others and provide technical direction to teammates
- Detailed and quality oriented
- Self- aware with ability to improve based on manager, team, or other feedback
- Energetic, positive, with the ability to bring a "can do" attitude to challenges

The compensation range for this role is $120,000-$160,000 annually, DOE.
