On average, two-thirds of users of a B2B SaaS product never become active. In other words, this means that two-thirds of customer acquisition costs, a substantial amount, are never recouped. Current solutions to improve user onboarding are either too expensive (hiring more staff to ensure personalized human support) or ineffective (no product on the market offers a convincing rich and personalized experience).

Tandem's mission is to solve this adoption problem through an AI Copilot directly integrated into SaaS apps. Its goal is to help users achieve their objectives effortlessly.

🎯 Your mission

We’re seeking an experienced Fullstack Engineer, with a frontend sensibility.

As our first and founding engineer, you’ll have the opportunituy to make a significant impact on our product and especially on the end-user experience.

At Tandem, delivering an exceptional user experience is paramount to driving user adoption in SaaS. Your role is crucial: by owning the widget and backoffice, you'll directly influence how users interact with our AI Copilot, and Product Managers with its configuration.

You'll shape both the user interface and the underlying systems of our solution, enhancing user engagement and significantly contributing to their success with our platform.

You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our personalized and tailored AI.

Responsabilities

• Design and develop the whole platform that will surround the existing widget (admin interface, analytics, data connectors,…)
• Continue designing and developing the user-facing widget to make it the undisputed best assistant on the market
• Contribute driving the technical direction, setting high standards
• Experiment with new ideas, concepts and technologies
• Collaborate closely with product managers and designers for roadmap planning and product design

🤩 Is that you?

• 4+ years of experience as a Fullstack Engineer, ideally in a start-up or scale-up
• Expertise with Node.js and React
• Strong product sense and interest in UI/UX
• Entrepreneurial and builder spirit: you don't just want to execute over specs, you like to be directly involved in conversations about strategy and roadmap and to take part in critical decisions. Bonus point if you’re an ex-founder!
• Hacker-spirit and doer mindset: we like to experiment, iterate fast, play with new technologies and tools. We’re working on something that has never been done before!
• Passion for the AI field - you use AI tools everytime and everywhere

• Frontend: TypeScript, React, Vite, socket.io, Refine.dev (for the backoffice)
• Backend: TypeScript, Nest.js, Supabase, Postgres
• Ops & Infra: AWS (ECS, Cloudfront, S3,…), Terraform, Github Actions
• AI: OpenAI, Claude, Langfuse,… (and more to come)
