Position Summary - Nuance Communications is looking for an intern to learn & support Azure Cloud Services, Compute and Networking initiatives within the IT organization. The right candidate must be vibrant, logical, flexible to learn and work effectively in a rapidly changing environment. Candidate must be a self-starter, who can work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Principal duties and responsibilities

• Have a hunger for learning and understanding.
• Work collaboratively with the team to understand the technology and functional requirements
• Exhibit flexibility in handling multiple tasks in this fast-paced IT environment as priorities change.
• Support data analysis and data integrity initiatives

Education: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Minimum years of work experience: Currently enrolled full-time in college/university
Required skills:• Experience and understanding of Compute, Network and Storage Infrastructure• Operational mindset focused on cloud environments using cloud native and/or third-party tools for security and platform management• Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skills and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment• Ability to approach problems with effective problem-solving skills and a sense of ownership• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, UDP, Load Balancing, Firewalls)
Preferred skills:
• Proficiency in building and managing server operating systems (Windows Server and Unix Base)• Experience using Azure cloud platform
