The Head of Political Demand an experienced, senior leader overseeing Magnite's revenue generated through political advertising.
Managing the political team entails a number of tasks, including oversight of quarterly business review documents and presentations, development and/or approval of client revenue and ad quality strategies, and the stewardship of the overall political revenue goals.
This role is expected to be an expert on marketplace trends, the competitive landscape, commercial organization structures and strategies, Magnite's capabilities and new offerings, and be able to upsell strategic offerings as solutions to our clients while balancing an operational mindset to drive revenue and yield.
In this role you will:
  • Manage the political demand facilitation team and direct team members to provide strategic consulting services regarding inventory monetization strategies and marketplace trends, and best practices
  • Create, implement, and own a sales pipeline
  • Develop strategies, processes, and new product requirements to drive superior service and insights for political accounts
  • Create and maintain strong and effective relationships with executive-level decision makers, influencers and key members of political ad operations
  • Develop marketplace insight through communicating with the broader team, cross-functional orgs, and appropriate Magnite leads
  • Partner with Magnite product leads to develop new ideas, new products/ features, and new processes to drive superior client service and insight
  • Drive in new business pitches, industry events, and conference presentations as needed

We're looking for someone with
  • Experience as a sales leader who can leverage their existing contacts with independent digital agencies to build a large book of business
  • 8+ years of experience, and experience of managing people
  • BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • High level of integrity, excellent presentation, organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of programmatic buying and video adtech
  • Strong connections in the political ad tech space
  • Strategic, analytical thinker who consistently challenges the status quo
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to translate strategic goals into plans and actionable objectives

In New York, the base salary range for this position is: $150,000 - $178,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).
