Job Description

We are looking for a Homologation Engineer to join our homologation department in Japan. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the success of the various homologation projects in the Japanese market. Some of the responsibilities of the role include:

- Promoting IDIADA’s Homologation business in Japan by targeting Japanese clients, identifying their homologation needs, preparing and presenting quotes to clients and closing the terms and conditions by getting the purchasing orders.

- Undertake homologation programs in Japan taking advantage of the network of automotive testing capabilities in Japan and Understand in depth the procedures to get Japanese National Type Approval for any kind of vehicle category (M, N, O, L, and T).

- Carry out meetings and sales presentations to present the technical solution-offers to Clients

- Follow up any Japanese homologation process of our clients.

- Create a network of contacts with the Homologation Stakeholders.

Qualifications

Profile:

- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in EC/ECE Regulation is a must. Experience in Japanese homologation will be welcomed.

- Having executed (or being familiar) with Japanese Certification programs.

- Good knowledge and relationship with main Japanese homologation stakeholders (Ministry of Land and Transport, NTSEL).

- Strong customer and service orientation, with high level of initiative and proactive approach.

- Expertise in vehicle construction and equipment

- Good communication skills (able to teach and convince clients about technical requirements).

- Able to work in an entrepreneurial, dynamic and international environment.

- Willingness to travel if required.

- Good co-operative skills within the company.

 Academic training:

- Mechanical/Industrial (or similar) Engineering Bachelor's or Master's degree.

Languages:

- Fluent in English.

- Other languages will be valued.
