POSITION OVERVIEW
Provide first-level support for Gentex HR information systems. Assist and support internal self-service users with Workday questions and issues; support applies to most, if not all, functional areas of Workday and can be technical in nature.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own and maintain various data audit schedules and practices.
- Support data analytics and integrity practices by designing and executing custom reports, analyzing data and/or updating the system.
- Develop and maintain work instructions for system related business processes.
- Work with internal functional subject matter experts to stay up to date on system changes and configurations.
- Communicate frequent issues and self-service user feedback to internal functional subject matter experts as applicable.
- Develop and support necessary testing for new or updated functionality in preparation for Workday releases and other system changes to ensure maintenance of system integrity and quality management.
- Support change management and training activities, as directed by the functional subject matter expert.
- Support HRIS team with rolling out new processes and provide ongoing support with new initiatives, as necessary.
- With the guidance of the designated functional subject matter expert, execute small system configuration changes and/or system updates.
- Build reports based on organization needs and customer requests, utilizing customer requirements list as available.
- Play an active role in processing Payroll on a weekly basis by leading time and time off processes and ensuring time/time off policies are correctly applied
- Other duties assigned.
HOW YOU'LL DO IT
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.
- Continuously develop knowledge of HRIS applications/tools to support Gentex business processes and culture.
- Attention to detail - Ensure information is complete and accurate; follow up with appropriate stakeholders to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled.
- Customer focus - Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Diagnostic information gathering - Identify the information needed to clarify a situation, seek that information from appropriate sources, and use skillful questioning to draw out the information.
- Technical expertise - Demonstrate depth of knowledge and skill in a technical area.
- Nimble learning - Actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning experiences.
- Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.
- Maintaining high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
WHAT TO BRING
- Four-year degree in Business, IT, Human Resources, or related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience working with large amounts of data.
- Ability to work nonstandard hours and/or holidays as needed.
WHAT WILL HELP
- Workday or HRIS experience.
- Experience with building user experience.
- Working knowledge of the Gentex culture and our business processes.
- Experience working with software integrations.
