The Work
The HR Coordinator’s role is to provide support in functional areas of the human resources department and to assist in effective coordination of various HR initiatives and projects.
Core Responsibilities!
- HR Administration
- Prepare, process, and maintain employee files, including archiving, in compliance with regulations and company standards.Â
- Process and input employee changes into HRIS, including new hires, work status changes, manager changes and any other applicable job-related adjustments.
- Onboarding
- Responsible for HR orientation of new employees including gathering and inputting new hire data, and first day coordination, conducting new hire orientations, ensuring smooth transition into EQB and assisting with any trouble shooting.Â
- Emailing new employee survey and using feedback to improve the orientation process.
- Project Work
- Assist with summer interns and summer intern activities, including facilitating the feedback process.Â
- Participate and assist with various special projects.
- Research various HR programs and initiatives and provide suggestions.Â
Let's Talk About You!
- Completed post-secondary education with a focus in Human Resources, Math, Analytics or Reporting
- 1 -year of HR experience is an asset
- Knowledge of HR functions and practices.
- You are a resourceful and curious problem solver
- Knowledge of relevant government legislation is an asset
- Results oriented, self-starter, and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate Excel, Outlook and Word skills.Â
- Excellent record keeping and attention to detail.Â
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.Â
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership qualities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all employees, pay and benefit information.Â
