Main Responsibilities

This is a crucial role in shaping and executing the organisation's corporate and public affairs strategies. This position requires a strong understanding of government relations and public affairs, with a focus on agriculture and food industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with government officials and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor and analyze government policies and regulations.
• Represent the organization at industry events and conferences.
• Strategic policy and registration projects.
• Sourcing unit government liaison and support.
• Trade falicatation for our access to portefolio
• Crisis and issue management.
• Communicate organizational changes effectively and sensitively.
• Develop and implement change management plans.
• Provide support and guidance to employees during periods of change.

Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a public affairs role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• Experience with crisis communication and media relations.
• Knowledge of social media and digital communication tools.
