We are looking for an IDMS/COBOL Developer to support our client based in Miami, Florida.

US BASED CANDIDATES ONLY.

This is a hybrid position. Candidates must be located in Miami-Dade / Broward County.

TECKpert seeks to hire an IDMS/COBOL Developer to support our client, a government agency based in Miami, FL. 

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, 6 month contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $65/hour or $135,200/year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire. 

Candidates are expected to work onsite at our client’s location for a hybrid role. 

A successful IDMS/COBOL Developer possesses or provides the following:

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:
Expertise in Integrated Database Management Systems (IDMS) programming language, online IDMS
programs and transactions, IDMS COBOL Online and Batch Coding (ADSO, IDD, ADSC, MAPC,
DOOL, DMLO, OLP, PFCH, DME), Job Control Language (JCL), SQL, SAS, VegaSoft, VSAM, SPF,
TSO/ISPF in the Z/OS mainframe environment, IDMS screen mapping (symbolic and physical),
systems analysis/design/development, project management, application production support, and IT
customer service.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Minimum 5 years of recent programming experience in an IDMS/COBOUVSAM/JCUZ/OS
mainframe environment.
• Minimum 5 years of recent experience in systems analysis, development, and project implementation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
