What will it be like to work on the Model e team?

As Senior Vehicle Integration Technician will be responsible for the installation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electronic systems in various vehicles and test racks. This position requires a deep understanding of electronics, a proven track record of success in vehicle integration, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What you'll be able to do:

  • Install and integrate a wide range of electronic systems, including:
    • HIL test systems
    • Prototype vehicle systems
    • Electric vehicle charging systems
    • High-voltage battery systems
  • Ensure proper wiring, connections, and configurations according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

Installation and Integration:

  • Install and integrate a wide range of electronic systems, including:
    • Telematics systems
    • Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS)
    • Infotainment systems
    • Electric vehicle charging systems
    • High-voltage battery systems
    • Aftermarket accessories

Testing and Validation:

  • Conduct thorough testing of installed systems to ensure functionality, performance, and safety.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve any technical issues.
  • Document all testing procedures and results.

Troubleshooting and Repair:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electronic system malfunctions and failures.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct repairs and modifications to ensure optimal system performance.

Technical Expertise:

  • Possess a deep understanding of electronics, including circuit analysis, power electronics, and digital systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in vehicle integration technologies.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with the team.


QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive electronics integration.
  • Proven track record of success in installing, integrating, and troubleshooting complex electronic systems.
  • Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and components.
  • Expertise in diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or certification in electronics technology or a related field.
  • Experience with specific vehicle integration technologies (e.g., telematics, ADAS, electric vehicle systems).
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., SAE, ISO).
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
