Junior Fashion Copywriter

About You  

You are a strong, efficient writer who can write concise, accurate, and engaging copy. You have a deep interest in, and understanding of, fashion. You can quickly learn to work collaboratively and translate the fashion team’s market notes and vision into clear, service-oriented copy that reflects the brand’s aesthetic.  

About the Role 

As the Junior Fashion Copywriter, you will write product copy for our multi-brand fashion inventory and our own collection G. Label by goop. You’ll also be responsible for writing some fashion editorials. You will report to the senior editor on the content team, working closely with the buying team, the fashion team, and the marketing team.  

Responsibilities Include:  

• Write product copy for fashion products (clothing, shoes, bags, jewelry), working with merch ops and buyers to ensure accuracy of copy, brand messaging, and service to reader. 
• Write product copy for monthly G. Label launches, working with design team and senior editor. 
• Write select fashion editorials as assigned, working closely with our creative fashion director, fashion market editors, and senior editor on concepts and ideas.  
• Write copy for miscellaneous events collateral, store signage, custom ad units, and other assets as needed. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• 2+ years of professional writing experience, preferably with an editorial fashion focus. 
• Curious and engaged with the world of fashion. 
• Ability to concept and write engaging fashion editorial content that is both aspirational and actionable. 
• Comfortable tracking varied deadlines, working efficiently and proactively, and taking initiative to get ahead of roadblocks before they arise. 
• Experience writing fashion week coverage or trend reports is a plus. 

FAQ  

• Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 + Equity. This is a full-time exempt role. Please note that this range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for the Los Angeles, CA based position. Goop, in good faith, reasonably expects to pay the position within this salary range. Goop provides the salary range in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, training, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
