Lead Engineer

Role Overview: 

The lead engineer will work for development of OTIS Engineering Web Applications for various engineering standards. This role will need good web development knowledge. In this role, you will interact with global stakeholders on regular basis. The engineer shall be a good communicator, good team player and able to work with minimal supervision. You will have access to mentorship, training growth and development opportunities across our highly resilient world changing business.

On a typical day you will: 

• Develop web applications for engineering models
• Interact with stakeholders
• Adopt to organizational processes for daily task execution
• Own the tasks and work with minimal supervision

What You Will Need to be Successful: 

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development using .NET technologies like .NET Framework, .NET Core
• Being able to write clean and optimized code in C#.
• Must have extensive knowledge in ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core MVC , Angular.
• Good knowledge of developing web applications with Angular and ASP.NET core REST APIs with unit testing (Test Driven Development)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server development (DDL, DML, Stored Proc etc.)
• Working experience in hosting the web applications in IIS and/or Azure Cloud
• Good knowledge in Azure Cloud services: App Service, Web Job, Azure SQL
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programing concepts and can apply the same in real world programming.
• Good understanding on Full stack development and can be able to get the E2E flow on how the product is developed using different technologies and tools.
• Understanding of Application build process and deployment process on windows and Linux servers.
• Nice to have knowledge on DevOps practices, different tools used.
