With over 100 inspired chefs from cities like NYC, LA, Austin, and more, our weekly subscription offers a wide range of hand-crafted meals to cater to various palates and dietary preferences.

By delivering over 1 million meals per month, we're also empowering working chefs, tripling their income, and supporting their growth. CookUnity believes in fueling stronger communities, partnering with Food Bank For New York City to combat food insecurity across all five boroughs.

About the Team:

At CookUnity, the CRM team is responsible for driving new eaters across CRM channels, retaining subscribers, and resurrecting churn users. The CRM team embodies being scrappy, creative, and extremely data-driven across our various strategies. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing CRM team that is working on building a world-class lifecycle marketing program. You will be working alongside our CRM team, comprised of the Director of CRM, a Lifecycle Marketing Associate, and a CRM coordinator. You will report directly to the Director of CRM.

The role:

As our Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving customer engagement across multiple touch points, including email, SMS, in-app, and push notifications. Your primary focus will be on driving strategic initiatives to increase trial acquisition, enhance customer retention, extend customer lifetime value (LTV), and resurrect users who churned back onto our subscription.

Responsibilities:
  • Customer Engagement Strategy: Identify opportunities to engage customers throughout their journey, reduce churn, boost customer sentiment, and ultimately elevate LTV.
  • Lead Conversion Strategy: Optimize our retargeting flows and ad-hoc campaign strategy to increase our trial conversion rate and optimize for net revenue per lead.
  • Lead Capture Strategy: Partner with the CRO manager and product teams to develop a testing plan to increase lead capture rate and CRM trial acquisition contribution.
  • Segmentation & Personalization: Develop a detailed segmentation and personalization plan to help drive KPIs across acquisition, retention, and resurrection.
  • Testing Strategy and framework: Ideate, build, and optimize testing strategy for acquisition, retention, and resurrection efforts.
  • Campaign Management and Automation: Work alongside CRM Director, Lifecycle Marketing Associate, and CRM coordinator and collaborate with the data team to design and implement robust processes for campaign management and marketing automation. This includes utilizing tools, creating efficient workflows, conducting A/B testing, implementing customer profiling and segmentation, personalization strategies, managing triggered events, and defining customer journeys and activation strategies to drive retention KPIs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with various teams across the organization, including performance marketing, brand marketing, data, portfolio, product, tech, etc., to drive the successful implementation of email marketing initiatives.
  • Reporting / Analytics: Drive improvements to reporting structure, and analytics and lead weekly CRM reviews with key cross-functional stakeholders
Minimum Requirements:
  • 5+ years of email marketing experience for D2C brands, particularly in subscription-based businesses.
  • Experience using email marketing platforms, with a preference for experience with Customer.io, Braze, or similar tools.
  • Previous experience working in email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app CRM channels.
  • The agility and proactiveness to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities will shift, and processes may not yet exist.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS for email production (a plus).
  • Action-oriented, proactive, and high-energy approach to driving change within the organization.
Preferred requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of email marketing tools and platforms.
  • Experience with other email marketing tools in addition to customer.io.
  • Deep understanding of subscription-based business models and strategies.
  • Previous experience in a senior or lead role within email marketing or CRM.
