Manager, Client Engagement Management

Job Description
As a Manager, Client Engagement Management, you will drive the vision, strategy, planning, evaluation, design, development, and implementation of applications. You will have a variety of responsibilities such as: Collaborate with internal business partners to meet project objectives; Understand and explain policies, practices ,and procedures within immediate area of responsibility to stakeholders within and outside of the team; Identify, propose and lead team- and department-level quality and process improvement initiatives; participate and provide input on strategic initiatives at the department-level.

You will leverage your critical-thinking skills by identifying cross-functional impacts and areas of potential risk management, ensuring the delivery of services to clients and the client's business standards are achieved. Through your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will influence diverse stakeholder groups and drive acceptance of policies, practices, and procedures within broader area of responsibility. As a leader, you will lead, direct, and review the team's work to achieve operational or functional targets or objectives with significant contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team, department and organization. You will identify, propose, and lead team- and department-level quality and process improvement initiatives; lead or influence strategic initiatives at the department-level and provide input on strategic initiatives for the organization. Furthermore, you will deliver consistent and timely training, guidance, and feedback to encourage success and promote associate growth through regular developmental conversations and identification of developmental opportunities. You will directly participate in decision-making for staffing and performance decisions for direct reports.
Working Environment

Hybrid or Remote

This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

• At least 8 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
  • At least 2 years healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support, project/program management, client relationship management and/or other client-facing or HCIT solution work experience
  • At least 6 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
• High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years people management, matrix management, project management or other indirect leadership work experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) - Project Management Institute (PMI)
• Previous experience in the Senior Engagement Owner role
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Expectations

• Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
• Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned
• Willing to travel up to 25% of the time
