Manager Project Management

Overview

The Manager, Project Management will manage and lead our Project Management personnel, performing direct supervisory responsibilities for individual contributors and will be responsible for applying their broad technology background and deep project management experience to identify the appropriate tools, practices, and measurements to help us achieve on-time and on-budget delivery of our software projects. In addition, the role is responsible for the project management of select strategic projects from planning through delivery. The role will collaborate closely with other Imaging Division personnel and external customer stakeholders in the development and oversight of projects and processes.

Leveraging metrics that will enable us to assess our current state at any time and measure the effectiveness of our practices to identify further areas of improvement will be critical. In this capacity the Manager, Project Manager can help mold the team as well as the larger organization, establishing new methods of work, invigorating the organization with a mindset of continuous improvement.

The Manager, Project Management is a critical member of the software development team, and plays a key role in the success of software development projects. They must be able to effectively manage people, resources, and projects, and have a strong understanding of agile software project management principles and practices.

FUJIFILM North America Corporation consists of five divisions including Imaging, Electronic Imaging, Graphic Systems, Optical Devices, and Industrial Products and Corporate New Business Development. These companies market a broad range of consumer and commercial products in North America and Latin America. The Imaging Division (ID) provides consumer and commercial photographic products and services. The Electronic Imaging Division (EID) markets consumer digital cameras; the Graphic Systems Division (GSD) supplies products and services to the graphic printing industry; the Optical Devices Division (OD) provides optical lenses for broadcast, cinematography, closed circuit television and binoculars. The Industrial Products Division (IPD) supplies cutting edge digital imaging and conventional film, chemistry and equipment to the NDT industry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with other department leaders to define, prioritize and develop projects
• Oversee portfolio of all project management initiatives, including setting and tracking of deadlines, prioritize activities, and assigning team members
• Continually develop standard project management processes to be followed by all project teams to optimize software development resources to deliver the most business value
• Implement project review processes to ensure they are continually meeting project requirements on schedule, budget, quality, and other key metrics
• Track key issues and escalate to appropriate levels of management
• Ensure consistent communication of project status/progress to all levels of the Imaging Division and other key stakeholders
• Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution and success of complex technical projects.
• Use strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as well as various project management methodologies, specifically agile and rapid application development, to design, develop, and execute project management strategies
• Assign and manage personnel to project teams
• Review personnel performance and progress, provide regular feedback, and identify growth and development plans.
• Coordinate necessary training programs for personnel development.

Required Skills/Education

Education

• BS/BA in technical or business discipline
• Masters degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years' relevant experience with project management within a software development organization
• 3+ years' direct supervisory experience.
• Skilled in staff management and development, with a talent for fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
• Proven working experience in software project management with excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of tools (Teams, Word, Excel, etc)
• Team player with excellent communications and presentation skills, able to quickly develop internal relationships
• Ability to prioritize work
