We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our Technology team. As the QA Manager, you will lead a team of 7 QA Analyst at various skill levels who are responsible for the end-to-end testing and validation across all Bridgeway SaaS products and modules. You will have responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating all QA activities for Bridgeway engineering teams, including the functional, integration, performance, and regression testing of Bridgeway’s software products. The QA Manager will work closely with senior management and third-party service providers to establish, implement, and maintain best practice QA strategies for Bridgeway. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and executing a roadmap leading to automated regression testing across Bridgeway’s Basys and ISSI platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for you to lead QA transformation within your direct team and across the broader Technology team.
This position can be remote or on-site/hybrid in our Baltimore, MD or Maple Shade, NJ offices, with a strong preference for East Coast candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute strategic roadmap for implementing automated testing and automated regression testing across the suite of Bridgeway products.
- Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams.
- Champion internal process improvements to drive immediate QA efficiency while implementing tools to realize your automated testing roadmap.
- Adhere, and ensure adherence of team members, to Secure SDLC processes.
- People Management responsibility which includes hiring, setting and monitoring individual performance objectives, career development, performance appraisals, and providing regular feedback and coaching.
- Collaborate with Engineering leaders and Scrum Masters to drive holistic SDLC process improvement
- Champion appropriate Site Reliability best practices throughout the Technology organization
- Interface with the software development organization to understand pain points and have teams drive towards resolution in the vein of continuously improving software practices.
Requirements:Â
- 3+ years’ experience managing a Quality Assurance team delivering commercial software products to market (SaaS, on-premise, mobile).
- Holds at least 1 advanced ISTQB certification such as CTAL-TTA, CTAL-TM, CTAL-ATT, CTAL-ATLaS, CTEL-TM, or CTEL-ITP.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience working with Agile software development teams releasing new versions at least monthly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to consistently deliver clear concise communications internally and externally to both highly and non-technical people
- Highly collaborative and influential in acceptance and support of solutions which align with strategic technology direction of the company
- Passion for modernizing a platform from IaaS to more PaaS cloud native services
- Hands on expertise with QA automation tools including, TestComplete/ReadyAPI (Smart Bear), Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
