Position Role Type:
OnsiteManufacturing Engineering Co-op will work on-site with all functions of the Machine Shop manufacturing team to improve productivity and process maturity. The role will offer opportunities to lead cost saving initiatives throughout the site and to have a true impact on the financial success of the team. Activities can include kaizen events, time studies, digital solutions, and layout and flow optimization. This position will work in Jamestown, ND in the Cargo Systems business unit.What You Will Do:

• Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run May - December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
• Kaizen event involvement
• Cost reduction projects
• Time studies
• Layout and flow optimization
• Work with manufacturing team

What You Will Learn:

• Operations and manufacturing processes
• Data analysis
• Industrial engineering processes

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Previous intern or co-op experience working in a manufacturing environment.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
