Marketing & Communications Intern

We are seeking a multi-faceted tech-savvy marketing intern to support the company’s initiatives as it relates to building awareness, driving leads and positioning basys+ISSI to its stakeholders. As a paid intern working closely with the MarComm director, you will be involved in department projects from concept to completion, supporting both traditional and digital marketing communication efforts. This role requires excellent writing and organizational skills, knowledge of marketing automation tools, ability to work as part of a team and accomplish tasks independently, and a creative thinker with strong attention to detail.

This is a hybrid position with a combination of remote and in-office based in Maple Shade NJ.

Responsibilities:

• Content Development and Maintenance: Involved in researching, producing, editing, proofreading and layout of a variety of content across multiple channels to support communications and marketing efforts, ensuring brand consistency and managing materials inventory
• Social Media Channel Management: Maintain an editorial calendar and generating, editing, and publishing content that creates engagement with our social communities
• Email Campaign Administration: Assist in crafting, testing, optimizing, and deploying, broadcast campaigns and automated follow up emails. Write persuasive copy and create templates in a drag-and-drop email builder
• Event Management Coordination: Support planning and promotional efforts related to the company’s annual Users Group conference and assist with marketing activities associated with industry trade events
• Website Management Support: Help create content for web page, support on page SEO best practices, maintain website assets and assist with developing lead generation forms and landing pages
• CRM (Contact Database) Maintenance Support : Assure the quality and consistency of data records in the CRM and help to maintain segmented list for targeted communication

Requirements:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, English or Communications
• High proficiency proofreading and copy-editing skills
• Strong knowledge of PowerPoint presentation design
• Microsoft Office proficiency: PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
• Familiarity with digital marketing and automation tools. HubSpot platform preferred
• Graphic design with page layout experience is helpful
• Strong interpersonal skills
