Position Role Type:
OnsiteCollins Aerospace Systems Aircraft Wheels and Brakes designs and builds wheel and brake systems for commercial, military, and regional business aircraft. The Materials and Process Technology (M&PT) summer intern will provide support to failure investigations and innovation projects; materials testing and analysis supporting special processes including plating, coating, surface enhancement, etc.; and preparing and reviewing reports. This role is onsite, in Troy, Ohio.What You Will Do:

• You will support failure analysis investigations by conducting material and chemical testing and analysis
• You will support innovation projects by conducting material and chemical testing and analysis
• You will participate in multi-disciplinary problem-solving teams using RRCA techniques.
• You will support internal manufacturing operations by laboratory testing and process troubleshooting.

• You will learn aerospace design and test standards and how they apply to Aircraft Wheels and Brakes.
• You will learn failure analysis methodologies to support product design and field investigations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Basic understanding of metallurgical principles.
• Pursuing degree in Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with materials focus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
