MES Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Site technical leadership and deployment of the IDAP Pharma Suite MES installation.
• You will bring your technical knowledge and experience to design, develop, and lead the technical deployment of Pharma Suite, Next Generation MES solution.
• Support MES for the Indianapolis Device Assembly and Packaging facility.
• Learn the site operational processes, procedures, and pain points and leverage technology solutions to deliver, enhance or improve.
• Leverage technology to drive innovative business solutions, including digital workers and automation opportunities.
• Provide MES subject-matter expertise to site resources.
• Partner with other Tech@Lilly IDAP Business Integrators to understand the end- to-end technology landscape, including critical MES integrations such as EWM & SAP.
• Influence peer Tech@Lilly teammates regarding MES best practices, standardization, and benchmarking
• Engage global Tech@Lilly teams and understand how IT services integrate to deliver a holistic site IT experience.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with supporting IT architecture.

Additional Skills/Preferences

• Experience with MES solution development and support, as well as
• Familiarity with M&Q network and application structure.
• Experience with designing and developing specifications for new products/services, applications, and service offerings.
• Experience with identifying technical risks that could impact the system's functionality or security.
• Experience with providing technical guidance to other members of the organization, including developers, project managers, and technical support staff.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that the organization's systems remain competitive and effective.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and articulate complex technical concepts.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
• Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with Computer System Validations.
• Must be able to evaluate the organization's needs, anticipate potential issues, and create key components that ensures the IT system or enhancements meet the requirements.
• Must have a strong business understanding and demonstrated business learning agility.
• Must consider security and privacy risks that secure and protect company data.
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence decision making at senior leadership level.

Additional Information

• This critical role will enable manufacturing production expansion, including new vial packaging production lines, and support on-going operational needs. You will participate in monthly, after business hours, on call support.
• Required to be on site a minimum of 4 days per work week.
