Job purpose

Responsible for efficient and accurate physical MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) inventory transactions (Inventory Management)

Key responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

• Responsible for efficient and accurate physical MRO inventory transactions (Inventory Management), including but not limited to organizing and stocking items received, parts disbursement, returns, inventory audits and adjustments.
• Establish initial material par levels and adjust as appropriate based on volume usage.
• Perform periodic material cycle counts to reconcile the physical inventory to the SAP inventory values.
• Develop efficient storeroom layouts and material assignments.
• Identify ways to improve efficiencies within the material handling process.
• Document and maintain operational processes and procedures.
• Ensure data entry of maintenance documentation and administrative processes into the appropriate maintenance system(s), including but not limited to: Purchase orders, work orders, order points/maximums, invoice verification, restock orders, preventive maintenance processes and inventory audits.
• Prepare Request for Quotations (RFQ) for user department requirements.
• Identify and pre-select suppliers for standard and customized spare parts & maintenance services
• Control and administer service contracts for equipment maintenance.
• Research order problems such as backorders and slow shipments with outside vendors. Helps schedule and expedite delivery of ordered items in conjunction with maintenance department requirements.
• Administer the Computerized Maintenance Management Program.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of a completed Bachelor's Degree; or completed High School Diploma or equivalent education combined with 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in MRO Inventory Management
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
• Highly detailed and organized
• Ability to utilize data to make decisions and problem solve
• High level of ownership and accountability.
• Knowledge of SAP, preferred.
