EVALUATIONS:
Qualifications
A Master's degree in Social Work or a related field (professional counseling, psychology, marriage and family counseling) from an accredited program. A current, valid, unrestricted clinical state license or certification in the field of practice, at the independent provider level. Two years direct experience in child abuse and/or domestic violence, maternal, community and/or child health. Be able to complete designated training in the New Parent Support Program.
Knowledge of related laws, DoD instructions, directives, policies and procedures, military regulations and TRICARE eligibility and applicability pertaining to supporting new parents. Knowledge of military systems, communities and resources available to Service Members and their dependents, and DoD civilians. Comprehensive knowledge of personal and family readiness programs, family advocacy, suicide prevention, substance misuse prevention, personal financial management, and other MF programs. Knowledge of Marine Corps Family Readiness Programs is desirable.
Knowledge of and experience and skill in using management information systems, office automation systems and processes, computer applications, principles, and techniques. Knowledge of and experience and skill in developing and overseeing budgets.
Skill in oral and written communication to effectively prepare and present recommendations and solutions regarding complex New Parent Support Program issues based on analysis and evaluation to include preparation and presentation of reports, proposals, graphs, etc.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with and gain confidence and cooperation of supervisors and managers to accept proposals on complex issues.
