Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking highly talented Overhead Contact System (OCS) Discipline Lead to our growing to join our World Class Rail team in Philadelphia, PA . Specific responsibilities will include the full range of catenary design and analysis tasks, including support and wiring layouts and profiles, cross-section development, structural support design, equipment allocation, grounding and bonding, sectionalizing, and the development of basic design parameters. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for management of the project team, budgets, and all design deliverables. This position will incorporate the use of AutoCAD and MicroStation into the design of electrification systems as well as a variety of design software packages, including STAAD, GTStrudl, LPile and MathCAD.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Will lead technical interactions with clients, operators, and other major stakeholders.
- Will manage and deliver technical training of client staff. Support the authoring of project plan documents. Participate in the Requirements Management effort.
- Support cost estimates, project schedules and budgets. Perform technical review of other team members' designs.
- Participate in project pursuit efforts.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior personnel as part of team development.
- Working with existing and potential clients to identify potential project.
- Participation in teaming and go/no-go decisions for potential projects.
- Manage client project lifecycle phases including planning, engineering design, stakeholder management, bit negotiation, construction oversight, project management.
- Construction Engineering Support on infrastructure projects.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS + 8 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Professional Engineer Registration
- Valid Driver's license and as a condition of employment, pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
- 10 years of relevant experience in design of Systems for rail and transit projects
