ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON-SPORTS MEDICINE

• Collaborative, multi-specialty orthopedic practice composed of 16 orthopedic surgeons and 12 NP/PAs. Sub-specialties include; adult reconstructive, shoulder and elbow, pediatrics, sports medicine, hand, trauma, foot and ankle, and ortho oncology.
• Robust medical orthopedics department with 10 fellowship trained primary care sports medicine physicians
• Elective surgery performed at adjacent outpatient hospital setting and new ambulatory surgery center
• Strong community sports medicine presence with athletic training contracts with10 local high schools and 3 colleges, the Minnesota Ballet, and mass participation events including Grandma’s Marathon
• Outreach opportunities optional
• 1:12 compensated call at Level 1 Trauma Center
• Physician call - nights supported by a dedicated call APP and surgical assistant
• Approximately 30 call nights/year
• Ortho trauma service provides daytime coverage 7 days per week
• Dedicated orthopedic trauma OR
• EPIC Electronic health record
• Comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs

St. Mary’s Medical Center is a 330-bed tertiary care hospital; Level I Trauma Center with 24-bed emergency department and helicopter support. Children’s hospital within St.  Mary’s Medical Center.   St. Mary’s Medical Center ranks among America’s Top 100 Hospitals for Joint Replacement and Fracture Care

New ASC opened Fall 2022.  New replacement hospital opening in 2023

• BC/BE Orthopaedics
• Fellowship in Sports Medicine
• Hip Arthroscopy
