Job Description

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Outbound Supervisor to join our team in Delta, BC. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Outbound operations, including managing and scheduling the team, receiving and managing client inventory, prepping order information, and picking and packing.

Duties and Responsibilities

● Ensure all schedules, ship dates, must-arrive-by dates, and other deadlines are followed and all shipments are packaged safely and securely to arrive at our customers.

● Provide daily direction and communication to team members in a timely, efficient, and knowledgeable manner. Provide continual evaluation of processes and procedures. Responsible for suggesting methods to improve area operations, efficiency, and service to both internal and external customers regularly

● Ensure team members have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs. Respond to and resolve employee relations issues expressed by team members. Create and maintain a high-quality work environment so team members are motivated to perform at their highest level.

● Assist the Operations Management team with daily operations including the development, analyses, and implementation of staffing, training, scheduling, and reward/recognition programs. Work as a member/leader of special or ongoing projects that are important to area/process improvement.

● Share continual responsibility for deciding how to lead the team members and ensuring that the workflow is handled efficiently and effectively.

● Implement standard work and processes that support company and departmental standards, procedures, and strategic directives.

● Use appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding department or team member concerns.

● Follow company policies, including Workplace Health and safety policies and procedures.

● Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Operations Management.

Qualifications

● High School Diploma or equivalent.

● Minimum 5 years of warehouse experience in picking/packing, receiving, inventory, and/or warehouse management.

● 1-2 years experience directly managing a team.

● Able to operate various pieces of equipment/technology (e.g. tablets, desktop computers, pallet jacks, etc.)

● Computer savvy, comfortable learning new software systems, WMS system experience required.

● Forklift Certification is preferred.

● Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and overall computer familiarity.

● Team player with a high level of urgency. Able to problem solve and take initiative when needed.

● Highly organized & detail-oriented.

● Strong interpersonal communication skills.

● Self-motivated and goal-orientated.
