Job Description

Main objectives of the position :

The paralegal supports our legal department and business on Intellectual Property (esp. trademark) & domain name portfolio management, is responsible for providing support on the Legisway tool, supports litigation and commercial transactions and assists the legal team on various topics and projects

As a paralegal, your main mission will be the following :

• Managing an intellectual property portfolio (esp. domestic and international trademarks) including managing the legal and administrative formalities related to their registration, conducting trademark searches, assisting in the preparation of agency applications, maintenance filings, responses to actions and related matters as well as assisting in due diligence investigations and data room preparation
• Managing a domestic and international domain name portfolio
• Advise and support business on intellectual property and domain name topics
• Assisting with the preparation of and management of licenses and other contracts, including supporting the franchisee department
• Conducting trademark clearance research.
• Supporting intellectual property enforcement and litigation efforts as needed.
• Management of invoices from outside counsel and service providers.
• Support and assist in the roll-out, implementation and administration of tools, notably the electronic signature process with DocuSign and Legisway
• Assisting with other corporate, M&A, regulatory, litigation, and intellectual property matters as needed.

• Internal: functions and businesses of the Europcar Mobility Group
• External: services providers and law firms

Type of contract : Fixed-term contract

Starting Date : August 19th 2024

End date contract : January 17th 2025

Salary range : 40/45K

Qualifications

Previous experience :

• Experience working as a paralegal in an international company (minimum of 5 years) with an emphasis on intellectual property portfolio management and legal tools and best practices
• Ability to work in an agile environment

Education level : IUT Carrières Juridiques or similar, law education is a plus

Languages : Fluent in English (mandatory)

Computer skills and software used : Google’s Office suite, Pack office, DocuSign, Contract management tool,

Personal characteristics : 

Enthusiastic team worker who is able to collaborate in an international business environment, rigorous, systematic and organized, with a proactive way of working, good writing skills, sense of service, discretion, respect for confidentiality
