We are seeking an outgoing, hardworking individual who is able work in a fast-paced environment and is able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Must be a goal-oriented, high energy and hardworking individual to fill our Payroll Administrator Position. The selected candidate will be responsible for processing all aspects of the bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for approximately 1,800+ employees.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Process and audit bi-weekly payroll for 1,800+ employees timely and accurately
- Process onboarding new hire paperwork into ADP
- Attend and present payroll slides at new hire orientation
- Respond to inquiries from employee and managers in a timely and professional manner
- Reviews employee information to ensure accurate flow of information from Oracle to ADP
- Process terminations timely and accurately based on the individual state final paycheck law
- Manage garnishments and levies according to State and Federal guidelines
- Work closely with the Benefits team regarding leave of absences.
- Prepare funding and reporting for 401k contributions
- Provide reporting support for various business partners such as HR, Legal and Finance as requested
- Update payroll records by reviewing changes in tax exemptions, direct deposit information, and other applicable data
- Ability to work with highly confidential information and exercise extreme discretion
- Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements
- Participate in various audits for Workers Compensation, 401k and Payroll
- Assists in special projects as needed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Two or more years' experience in payroll or related area
- Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability
- Working knowledge of state and federal wage tax laws
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook (VLOOKUP's and pivot tables)
- Prior experience with payroll processing software. Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus but willing to train on current software platforms (Oracle and ADP WFN)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
