The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in payroll administration and related tasks, with experience managing a payroll of at least 500 employees.  This role will work as part of a growing Finance function, working collaboratively across the team, across departments, and across a portfolio of digital-first companies.  The ideal candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity and problem solving, a team player, and highly accountable for the efficient delivery of high quality work.  This position will enjoy growth opportunity vertically within the payroll function or horizontally into other operational areas of the business.    Please note this is a hybrid position with a requirement to be in-office 3 days per week. 

General Description: 

• Process and balance payroll for 1000+ employees.
• Process manual check processing.
• Perform limited Workday and ADP Workforce Now administrative tasks.
• Create/analyze reports 
• Process final termination pay based on company policy and state regulations.
• Upload expenses and other transactions
• Recognize, research & recommend resolution for related issues.
• Help train new team members and create process documentation.
• Represent Payroll Department at meetings, training sessions, etc.
• Research, as needed, respond to internal/external inquiries.
• Perform complex payroll functions (garnishments, local taxes, etc.)
• Initiate manual checks, stop payments.
• Audit for compliance to internal/external labor laws and policies

Skills & Experience: 

• High school diploma
• Previous payroll experience (minimum 2 years)
• Workday and ADP WFN experience or equivalent (minimum 2 years)
• Multi-state payroll experience
• Problem solving skills
• Experience with PC, Excel and Word
• Team player and able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
