This innovation translates to getting life-saving drugs to market 1-3 years faster, where we specialize in partnering with and nurturing in-house clinical-stage drugs. About the role

Formation Bio is seeking a creative, employee-focused People Engagement Manager to join our dynamic team. In this essential role, you'll significantly enhance the employee experience, ensuring it resonates with our organizational objectives. Your responsibilities will encompass developing and leading various programs, including company events and the annual employee engagement survey, and elevating the office environment. Your role in shaping internal processes will be critical in defining our company culture and advancing the employee side of our business. This role is a unique chance to drive impactful change in a forward-thinking, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and execute programs to engage our people.
  • Oversee the functioning of office operations and champion the integration of a hybrid work environment.
  • Develop and implement a strategy for social connection, planning large-scale company-wide events on a quarterly basis.
  • Organize and coordinate employee events, engagements, and team-building activities that align to our company values and mission.
  • Create and execute recognition programs for our employees.
  • Conduct the annual employee engagement survey and utilize its insights for organizational enhancement.
  • Participate in talent management and development initiatives, ensuring they align with our people engagement goals.
  • Manage the People Team's budget, tracking spend and ensuring adherence to our company-level policies. 
  • Continuously assess and refine current employee programs and processes, leveraging technology and AI.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and departments like Research & Development, Technology, and Operations to foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Expected to be present in the office four days per week for in-person collaboration and office oversight.

About You 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of progressive People Ops and culture/engagement experience.
  • In-depth understanding of best People practices and behavior drivers.
  • Experienced in program management and large-scale event planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects from inception to completion, securing buy-in from stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills.
  • An eye for creativity and innovation for our employee events.

We offer competitive compensation because we want to hire the best people and reward them for their contributions to our mission. We pay all employees competitively relative to the New York City market, regardless of their location. In compliance with NYC’s pay transparency law and in pursuit of pay equity and fairness, we publish salary ranges for all open roles at Formation Bio. The target salary range for this role is $122,000 - $160,000.
