We are seeking a meticulous and proactive People Ops & Payroll Specialist to join our People Operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely production of payroll and HR data. This is a high-profile, employee-facing position that requires a blend of analytical expertise and exceptional people skills.Â
As People Ops & Payroll Specialist, you will own global payroll processing for employees across our NY, remote US, Berlin, and London locations, ensuring precision and punctuality. Reporting to the Associate Director of People Operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving company-wide payroll processes along with supporting key HR administrative tasks and programming.Â
To be successful in this role, you will need to be an effective collaborator, communicator, and problem solver. You will work closely with the People and Finance teams, and will directly support employees company-wide on all payroll matters.Â
The role is based in our New York office. This is a full time role with in-office attendance required 2-3 days a week.Â
What You’ll Do:
- Global payroll processing across the U.S.,U.K. and D.E.Â
- Global benefit invoice auditing; manage enrollments for our UK and DE insurance plans, review global invoices and audit against enrollments, work with vendors and brokers on corrections and ensure proper deductions on payroll
- Global leaves administration: responsible for leave paperwork and payment reconciliation
- HR administration: data entry and approvals in BambooHR, verifications of employment, transfer/probationary letters, unemployment requests, workers compensation auditsÂ
- Ad hoc people operations projects and programming
Who You Are:
- 3+ years proven experience in payroll management, preferably in a multi-country global setting
- Familiarity with HR administrative functions and compliance requirements
- Analytical with strong attention to detailÂ
- Highly conscientious, self-motivated, and process-oriented
- Strong collaboration skills — can proactively work with internal and external stakeholdersÂ
- Strong communications skills — ability to manage sensitive employee mattersÂ
- Experience working within or in collaboration with an HR functionÂ
- Experience using Payroll and HRIS platforms — ADP WFN and/or BambooHR experience an added plus
The salary range for this role is $60,000-$80,000 annually. Artsy is committed to equitable compensation practices, and your offer will depend on the relevant experience and skillset you bring to the team.Â
