We are seeking a driven and hands-on Plant Manager to lead our Helsinki manufacturing facility, a flagship site focused on the production of 3-phase UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies) for Data Centres and other critical industries.

As the leader of this high-growth plant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping its future by leading your team in delivering operational excellence, embedding cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technologies, and fostering a world-class safety culture. This role requires a proactive, hands-on leader who can engage directly with shop-floor activities while maintaining a strategic focus on growth.

You will take full responsibility for all site operations and lead a diverse team of operational professionals, ensuring the plant meets and exceeds safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets while scaling capacity for continued growth.

What you'll do:

Team Leadership and Development

• Inspire and lead a cross-functional team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a shared commitment to excellence.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the plant, ensuring a workplace where all employees can thrive.

Safety Leadership

• Lead by example, championing a culture of safety and zero harm across all plant activities.

Customer and Stakeholder Focus

• Serve as the face of the Helsinki plant to internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and local authorities.
• Partner with sales, supply chain, and R&D teams to align operational capabilities with market and customer demands.

Operational Excellence

• Drive a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making, actively engaging with shop-floor teams to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Eaton Business System (EBS) tools to optimise processes and eliminate waste.

Growth and Strategic Planning & Financial Performance

• Develop and execute strategies to scale the plant's production capacity.
• Build flexibility into operations to adapt to changing market demands and customer needs.
• Manage the plant's operational budget, ensuring disciplined cost control while delivering on performance targets.
• Develop robust business cases for investments in capacity, technology, and talent.

Industry 4.0 and Innovation

• Spearhead the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, integrating smart manufacturing solutions to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
• Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the team to explore new technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Experience: Strong manufacturing leadership experience, some of it in a plant management role.
• Proven success in scaling production in a high-growth environment, ideally with exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence frameworks.
• Strong safety leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to embed a culture of safety in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in high-mix, low-volume production environments is a plus.
