Pre- Press Assistant

• Proof items with Global Vision proofing system
• Learn how to find real print errors from false positives.
• Research and problem solve when Press department gives you the wrong or missing information.
• If Global Vision finds a print issue, bring findings to graphic department, or write an email if after graphic department hours.
• Keep records of errors with Global Vision software and scanner.
• Add plate delivery tracking numbers to File Maker
• Clean dust from Global Vision scanner
• Take extra, not needed film off the rolls and put into trash
• Bring Global Vision and Lab’s Garbage to trash compactor
• Bring empty cores back to press in the proper spot
• Research active jobs in file maker for opportunities with the color proofs.
• Use Global vision to check the customer approved proof against the stepped proof.
• Keep Global Vision area 5S.

• Are able to read, speak and write in English proficiently 
• Have color match experience, ink related experience
• Have excellent math skills
• Have excellent communication skills - both written & verbal
• Attention to detail
