The Barracuda Central Intelligence team is hiring an ambitious and driven Principal Data Engineer. This position is a critical piece of Barracuda's mission to provide the absolute best in class protection efficacy to our customers through Intelligent Automation, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. The Barracuda Central Intelligence team is responsible for collecting, aggregating, enriching, and distributing threat intelligence across the company to develop threat detection systems that protect our customers.

Tech Stack

• Databricks, Snowflake, or other distributed computing platform
• AWS Cloud Databases: RDS, Opensearch, DynamoDB, etc
• Streaming Technologies: Kafka, Kinesis, etc
• Spark, Python, SQL, Scala, or other high-level language at scale (C++, Java)

What you'll be working on

• Setting standards for data handling and scaling our data processes
• Ingesting, processing, enriching, and distributing very large datasets
• Optimizing systems for a balance of cost and business impact
• Designing data pipelines along with our Machine Learning and Data Enrichment teams to enable and scale our Machine Learning Operations objectives

• Deep understanding of distributed computing and experience building large data systems

Campbell, CA only. The anticipated on-target earnings range for this role is $181,000-$199,000. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
