Raytheon's Field Engineering team is looking for a Principal Field Systems Engineer to provide field engineering support. In this role you will be responsible for the launch / recovery element installation of hardware and software. You will work with a small team to maintain integrated ground segment equipment during flight tests.

This mission essential accompanied position will be onsite in an undisclosed for an international assignment with additional compensation.

CONUS/OCONUS travel may be required.

Non-standard work week, overtime/weekends/shift work possible.

What You Will Do

• Perform maintenance and upgrades as well as troubleshoot problems.
• Install and troubleshoot experimental hardware / software.
• Provide feedback to engineering and work with offsite engineering in a collaborative manner.
• Troubleshoot industry standard IT systems as well as program specific hardware, software, and procedures.
• Work closely with customer representatives to provide status and integrate customer changes.

Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignment including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
• Experience as a system administrator or development / support engineer.
• Experience with Linux, Solaris, Irix or other Unix environment
• Experience performing complex troubleshooting and analysis to correct system discrepancies.
• Experience interacting with senior external personnel on significant technical matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Excellent communication skills necessary for problem resolution with military / corporate customers and vendors.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Ability to interact productively with other Field Engineers and customers in a diverse team setting.
• Ability to work independently to develop timely and effective solutions to technical problems of various scope and complexity.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
