Principal Solutions Architect

The Principal Solutions Architect will be responsible for leading client engagements, designing enterprise architecture solutions, and overseeing the technical relationship between our clients and the development team. You will be proficient in pre-sales support, managing successful client engagements, data modeling, schema design, and systems architecture in a product development environment.

General Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative solutions to problems with no known resolutions, design and implement frameworks, processes, and tools to address complex challenges.
• Spearhead automation, processes, or align work to industry best practices or revolutionary ideas, influencing the overall direction of the organization, shaping organizational strategy.
• Lead implementation of product, process, automation and/or streamlines work with industry best practices or revolutionary ideas, contributing to measurable improvements at the department level.
• Devise new business strategies through the development of innovative processes.
• Mentor team members, actively participate in the hiring process, lead business improvements, and play a key role in performance management.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with clients to understand their business needs and design solutions that meet those requirements.
• Develop high-level architecture designs and present them to technical decision makers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate and work closely with the development team to ensure the technical feasibility of solutions.
• Manage the technical relationship with clients, acting as the primary technical point of contact.
• Define and document data schema designs and models.
• Be able to write code to develop and implement technical solutions.
• Develop and implement best practices for technical delivery, such as coding standards, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and work with the development team to deliver solutions.
• Support pre-sales in conjunction with our strategy and business development teams.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development, cloud platforms, and data schema design.

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a technical client-facing role and supporting pre-sales efforts for enterprise-level clients.
• 7+ years of experience working in a cloud-based, product environment.
• Experience using frameworks such as FastAPI and Cloud Development Kits.
• Expertise in data schema design and modeling.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience managing executive-level client relationships.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Experience with AWS and GCP cloud environments.
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React.
• Knowledge of multiple development languages such as Python, Scala, R, or SQL.
