Responsibilities
As a product counsel and legal BP of the internet-based product you support, you will carry out responsibilities of the following:
- Advise on legal and compliance assessment of product features, processes and functions.
- Conduct daily support in commercial transactions, including contracts drafting and negotiations with business partners.
- Provide cross-region legal support and liaison with regional legal professionals to resolve issues in multiple jurisdictions.
- Draft internal and external facing polices to facilitate projects/compliance initiatives.
- Conduct researches and streamline processes. Provide internal training to relevant teams.
- Other work assigned by supervisor on case by case basis.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- JD or equivalent degree from an accredited Law School and a member in good standing of a Bar Association.
- Substantial legal experience across private practice & in-house within TMT (Technology, Media, Telecommunications)
- Strong analytical, drafting and negotiation skills.
- Flexible, solution-oriented, pro-active and self-motivated individual with good business acumen.
- Good communication skills and able to work effectively with team members and cross-function partners from different cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Ability to assess legal, practical and business risks in a fast-paced environment and provide sound advice under tight deadlines.
- Working efficiency in spoken Mandarin is ideal as this person will be liasing with Chinese stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure in data privacy/IP/e-commerce/payment/internet and entertainment law.
- Great project management skills.
- Exceptional work ethics and professional attitude.
- Some inhouse experience is a plus.
