Overview

The Product Manager - Chemical and Film Products will report to the Vice President, Product Management and will be responsible for product strategy, market positioning, product roadmap planning and prioritization, and budget planning. This position works closely with all functions of the company to commercialize new products and manage and support the execution of the budget plan.

FUJIFILM North America Corporation, a marketing subsidiary of FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation, consists of six operating divisions. The Imaging Division provides consumer and commercial photographic products and services, including silver halide consumables; inkjet consumables; digital printing equipment, along with service and support; personalized photo products fulfillment; film; one-time-use cameras; and the popular INSTAX® line of instant cameras, smartphone printers, instant film, and accessories. The Electronic Imaging Division markets its GFX System and X Series lines of mirrorless digital cameras, lenses, and accessories to provide a variety of content creation solutions for both still and moving imagery. The Optical Devices Division provides optical lenses for the broadcast, cinematography, closed circuit television, videography, and industrial markets, and also markets binoculars and other optical imaging solutions. The Graphic Communication Division utilizes its extensive industry knowledge to develop fully supported traditional and digital print solutions for industries including commercial print, wide format, and packaging with its comprehensive line of digital inkjet presses, production toner printers, and software. The Industrial Products Division delivers new products derived from Fujifilm technologies including data storage tape products, including OEM and FUJIFILM Ultrium LTO cartridges, desalination solutions, microfilters and gas separation membranes. The Non-Destructive Testing Division delivers radiography solutions to ensure high accuracy inspection of transportation infrastructure, and assets within aerospace, and oil and gas industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Create functional product solutions, prioritize features/content, build consensus, facilitate communication, and coordinate product schedules with a variety of internal teams including: development, content, sales, marketing, customer support, executives, and others
  • Facilitate technical, operational and business requirements definition for all related product solution initiatives
  • Collect new features and enhancements from customers and prospects and feed these into the software road-mapping process
  • Oversees the creation and management of product line budgets and P&L's
  • Oversees account proposals and product pricing and be a champion for enhancing ROI
  • Collaborate with product team to identify technical dependencies and closely align business needs with infrastructure capabilities
  • Own the product roadmap. Communicate priorities for product development to ensure alignment with the business needs and priorities
  • Help drive the design, and development of packaging; including functionality based on review of market needs and customer.
  • Collect and prioritization of business and/or market requirements from prospects, customers of earlier versions of the product, technology visionaries, market experts, products / solutions from competing vendors, etc
  • Participate in the architecture, design, and review of system platforms
  • Work with sales support and marketing communication staff to plan and implement marketing support for all products and programs
  • Analyze feedback and industry trends from customers, prospects, competitors and analysts
  • Product launch - plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Create and oversee customer allocation of high demand products
  • Monitor sales and redistribute allocations to achieve budget
  • Coordinate with manufacturing to provide monthly rolling forecast for components, balancing the needs amongst the product offerings to maximize revenue and profitability
  • Work with Supply Chain, OEM manufacturers and contract packagers to communicate priorities to secure supply
  • Develop pricing strategy that ensures profitability of product categories

Required Skills/Education

  • BS/BA in technical field or business (MBA preferred)
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in the product management discipline
  • Aptitude for technology and ability to connect technical concepts with customer value
  • Ability of building and managing product roadmaps
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills are a must. Ability to see the big picture and develop long term vision balanced with the ability to drive the organization to execute flawlessly within realistic budgets
  • Project management skills, and a history of strong working relationships with cross functional teams
  • Team player, able to quickly develop internal relationships
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • Proven success at developing, monitoring and managing budgets and P&L's
