Job Description

Now is an amazing time to join Netflix as we seek to entertain the world. We have over 238 million paid members in over 190 countries. Games is one of our newest product categories. Netflix Games launched on mobile in 2021, and cloud-based games are now available on TV and Web in beta with limited availability. This is an incredible opportunity to drive a slate of messaging solutions that allows our members to discover great new games to play, and re-engage with the games they already love.

As the Product Manager: Games Messaging, you will help create the long-term strategy and vision for how our members receive messages from Netflix and our developers, across our mobile, TV and Web apps, email and push notifications. You will own the messaging roadmap and KPIs, and work with engineers, program managers, designers and researchers to ensure the delivery of data-driven products to satisfy the needs of our members. A big part of this role will also include partnering with central foundations teams to help define the platforms that will support the games messaging needs.

Games Messaging is a horizontal function across the games domain at Netflix. In addition to collaborating with games product teams on messaging solutions, this role will also take on complex, cross-initiative, product problems that affect the overall games initiative.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently identify opportunities to advance the member and business needs of our games product, and build consensus around a roadmap that achieves our product goals.
  • Motivate and partner with business leads, designers, program managers, and engineer teams to design, plan, develop, and launch new features or products.
  • Be a domain expert who can collaborate with product managers throughout the organization whose work touches the games product.
  • Partner with tooling and enablement teams across Netflix to identify and leverage common building blocks.
  • Understand internal and external stakeholder needs to drive roadmap and feature development.
  • Work with Data Science to define KPIs that enable data-driven decision-making on the roadmap and overall future of the product.
  • Drive A/B testing, market, and user research to identify customer needs and satisfaction drivers, and incorporate learnings into product decisions.
  • Define, support, and deliver innovative and intuitive member experiences and features to drive player engagement and satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful launch execution, learning, and adoption. Monitor competitors and compare and contrast different approaches.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in product management or related business areas, with direct experience building amazing consumer experiences.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, work collaboratively, and lead complex and highly impactful cross-functional projects from concept to completion.
  • Technical background or strong understanding of technical systems & platforms and the ability to communicate with and challenge both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ambitious self-starter who deals well with ambiguity and a fast-paced, multiple-project environment.
  • A history of achieving product outcomes through user testing and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience translating UX testing and feedback into impactful new features.
  • A passion for the digital gaming space.
