This is a remote position and we're considering candidates in the Canadian Eastern timezone.
About Product Management
As a Product Manager at Grafana Labs you'll develop a vision and strategy for your product domain. You will own your product’s roadmap collateral and market research and you will collaborate with Grafana leadership on fine-tuning your product’s goals. You will be the primary advocate and expert in your area with a strong ability to communicate needs functionality and details effectively both to external customers and internal stakeholders. The teams and people you will be interacting with will be 100% remote and globally distributed so strong and proactive communication is essential.
Product Managers are the bridge that connect Engineering Design and Product Design to Go-To-Market. You are a facilitator who ensures the free flow of information across these teams and are expected to be technically proficient when representing our products to our customers.
The Role
As the Product Manager for Grafana Cloud’s usage and billing experience you’ll help our customers clearly understand what they’re spending on each of our products. You will focus on making historical current and projected future usage transparent and easy to understand allowing customers to view and analyze exactly what they’ve spent what they’re spending now and what they’re likely to spend in the future. Your mission will be to create a unified experience that brings together our diverse product suite—each with its own unique billing model—into a clear cohesive and transparent view that builds trust with our users. This experience will empower customers to optimize their consumption within their desired budget and maximize the value they’re getting from Grafana Cloud.
As a Product Manager at Grafana Labs you will:

Transform ideas and feedback into a product vision and roadmap

Empathize with customer problems in order to collect user needs requirements and pain points

Curate and convey user feedback to Engineering while providing evidence to support tradeoffs and priorities

Work closely with Product Marketing to explain Grafana Cloud’s consumption-based billing model to Go-To-Market teams and customers creating documentation blog posts website content datasheets and whitepapers.

Use your deep product expertise to make decisions about our go-to-market strategies pricing packaging licensing and tiering
We’re excited about you because you have:

1+ years of experience in Product Management
-
1+ years of experience working on a B2B SaaS product
-
Experience with product analytics SQL PowerBI Tableau BigQuery Looker and/or data visualization tooling

A desire to dive into complex solutions and work with a highly technical product and customers
-
Experience partnering with Product Design to build delightful user experiences
-
Experience working with engineering teams to design and build products in a fast-paced environment
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Points

Experience operating or using Grafana Labs open source projects including Grafana Grafana Loki Grafana Tempo Grafana Mimir Grafana Pyroscope or Prometheus.

Experience with Kubernetes

Experience working on products related to financial reporting billing systems budgeting or business intelligence.

Experience building observability and/or monitoring tools and/or other types of developer tools

Experience with open source software and/or commercial open source companies
In Canada the Base compensation range for this role is CAD 136000- CAD 170000. Actual compensation may vary based on level experience and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity bonus (if applicable) and other benefits listed here .
