TECKpert seeks to hire a Project Manager support our client, a government agency based in Tallahassee, FL. The Project Manager in this role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating enterprise IT initiatives led by the Department's Office of Information Technology (OIT). In this role, you will develop, update, and track project plans, facilitate planning and design sessions, conduct status meetings, create project documentation, manage issues and risks, and ensure resource allocation. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience providing leadership and technical expertise in IT initiatives, including project management, and possess a Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Develop, track and update project plans for enterprise IT initiatives led by the Department’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) as directed by the Department.
• Coordinate and facilitate planning, designing and work management sessions with OIT, divisions and/or program areas as directed by the Department.
• Conduct regularly scheduled status and update meetings with OIT, divisions and/or program areas as directed by the Department.
• Create design and implementation documentation according to project and work plans as directed by the Department.
• Prepare, update and track issues and risk logs for enterprise IT initiatives as directed by the Department.
• Track outcomes against objectives, and report outcomes as directed by the Department.
  Ensure adequate resource allocations for the enterprise

This opportunity is for a full-time, 8 month contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $60/hour or $124,800 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire. 

Candidates are expected to work onsite at our client’s location. 

A successful Project Manager candidate possesses or provides the following:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in providing leadership and technical expertise to enterprise IT initiatives.
• including planning, coordination, resource development, tracking and reporting.
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in managing projects.
• Demonstrated experience with projects in multiple technologies and functions.
• Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification.
