Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a Project Manager II for our Omaha, NE office area. This person will be responsible for coordinating various engineering tasks within the program.

This person will manage one or more moderately complex project, involving a combination of the following:

  • Clients with a regional geographic footprint; OR,
  • Projects involving multiple services provided by regional IE offices; OR,
  • Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.
  • May manage all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).
  • Works mostly independently but receives basic instruction on specific assignments, objectives, complex features and possible solutions.
  • Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
  • May supervise senior level engineers (all disciplines applicable), as well as project administration, project controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating and procurement representatives.
Additional Job Details

  • Responsibilities include maintaining and revising program documentation, engineering guides, and other technical tools necessary for thorough due diligence.
  • The position also involves overseeing the progress of due diligence deliverables and ensuring that all relevant materials are appropriately saved and processed according to program guidelines.
  • Familiarity with internal tools like Buganizer is essential, although on-the-job training will be provided.
  • This support role is designed for a junior engineer with a solid foundational knowledge in their field, allowing for the opportunity to learn new subjects or systems while on the job.
  • Oversee the technical due diligence process and ensure activities are not delayed.
  • Continuous monitoring of in-flight projects with the intention of escalating issues.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of technical due diligence details and relevant info.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across multiple teams to gather necessary documentation.
  • Regularly review the status of in-flight site evaluations and identify any bottlenecks or delays.
  • Communicate with internal teams and stakeholders to provide updates on project timelines.
  • Identify any discrepancies/inconsistencies and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting high level design review is preferred. Complete knowledge of all systems not required.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of contract-related documents.
  • Act as a POC for internal and external stakeholders regarding contract processing issues.
  • Coordination of technical information across multiple sites across the fleet globally.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in mechanical or electrical engineering+ 2+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • U.S. Citizenship required, due to the nature of the work
  • Experience in using Google Workspace applications, such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Drive.
  • Experience using Google Workspace for communication and collaboration, including Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Meet.
  • Experience analyzing data and generating reports using Google Sheets or other relevant tools within Google Workspace.
Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of design experience, preferably working under a licensed engineer.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to handle conflict resolution.
  • Excellent attention to detail and desire to learn new systems within data center infrastructure.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
