QA Engineer - Senior

Your Role

As a senior QA Engineer in the Data Platform Studio, you will be part of the QA team that develops automated tests for our Gensler Core Data which is used by thousands of employees within Gensler. You will work with a team of data engineers, database developers, integration engineers, software engineers and product managers that are responsible for the development and maintenance of Gensler's internal applications.

What You Will Do

• Work with the QA Team to define the overall Testing Strategy including definition of End-to-End and acceptance plan.
• Build Test requirements and translate them into viable test plans.
• Design and implement automated tests using Selenium, Junit, and or playwright.
• Communicate Test Plans to all project stakeholders and business partners to ensure all testing activities are conducted in line with expectations.
• Create Reports, Dashboards, and Metrics to enable visibility into the status and progress of our products, tests, and releases.
• Manage the coordination of multiple teams to quickly resolve bugs, data issues and test failures.
• Work closely with engineers to develop features that enable the auto-discoverability of bugs and data quality issues.
• Develop a Data Quality test plan from the ground up to enable data quality issues to be discovered via automation.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the field of Software Engineering or Quality Assurance.
• 3+ years of experience programming with Python or Java.
• 3+ years of experience writing SQL.
• 3+ years of experience building automated tests with tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience working in AWS, Azure or GCP Cloud.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience with Test-driven Development and Continuous Integration frameworks
• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment, be a team player, and working with globally distributed teams.
• Experience working with Agile Methodologies

**the compensation range in Oakland, CA will be $110k-125k plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience**
