Supplemental Staff Registered Nurse (RN) Position Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. Acts as a patient advocate. Provides support, information, and direct care. Utilizes equipment and technology skillfully and is technically competent in nursing procedures. Educates patients and families on significant selfcare issues. The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications may be required.Â

Education
Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland or Delaware.

Supplemental Staff Registered Nurse (RN) Position Requirements
Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse. Must hold a license in the state of permanent residency.Â
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience dependent on area of specialty:
Critical Care – 1 year of experience preferredÂ
Medical Surgical – 1 year of experience preferredÂ
Emergency Department – 1 year of experience preferredÂ
Mother/Baby, Labor/Deliver, Pediatrics – 1 year of experience preferredÂ
Supplemental Staff Registered Nurse (RN) Work Schedule
Level ONE STEM Nurse
A. Ninety Six (96) hours per 8-week unit schedule are the minimum requirement. Average 12 hours per week.
B. Twenty Four (24) weekend hours per 8-week period
C. Minimum of 1 (12) hour holiday OR 2 (12) hour hard to fill shifts from group 1 AND group 2 per year.Â
D. Orientation and education hours do not count towards the monthly requirement.Â
Level TWO STEM Nurse (Working both Facilities)
A. Ninety Six (96) hours per 8-week unit schedule are the minimum requirement. Average 12 hours per week.
B. Twenty Four (24) weekend hours per 8-week period
C. Minimum of 1 (12) hour holiday OR 2 (12) hour hard to fill shifts from group 1 AND group 2 per year.Â
D. Orientation and education hours do not count towards the monthly requirement.Â
