Job Description:

Voyant is a global enterprise software provider specializing in modern financial advisor and client interactions, using financial education, complex calculations, and deep personalization as a basis for client engagement. The job and what you'll do:

Voyant is looking for a report developer to help enhance our advisor driven report experience by creating, designing, and maintaining our financial report outputs.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a fully in-office work schedule and are close to our office locations in either Austin, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Layout & Information Architecture: In scaffolding reports using HTML & CSS, a report developer designs and structures the foundational layout and elements of the report using HTML markup. They ensure that the HTML structure is semantically meaningful and compatible with various web browsers, providing a solid framework for subsequent data integration and visualization.
• Maintenance & Optimization: Keeping existing reports up-to-date and ensure optimal performance. This may involve updating reports with new patterns, making enhancements based on customer feedback, and optimizing report performance to improve speed and efficiency when generating financial outputs.
• Accessibility: Ensure that the PDF content is structured properly with appropriate headings, lists, and alternative text for images to facilitate navigation for users with disabilities. Verify that the PDF document complies with accessibility standards and ensure compatibility with assistive technologies like screen readers.
• Understanding Requirements: understand the reporting requirements of various stakeholders within the organization. This involves gathering requirements from advisors, financial institutions, analysts, and other stakeholders to determine what data needs to be included in the reports and how it should be presented.
• Collaboration and Communication: collaborate with stakeholders across various teams, financial advisors, banks, and app owner(s), to understand requirements, gather feedback, and ensure that reports meet the needs of our clients.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in HTML and CSS.
• Some Java development experience (including Internships or personal projects).
• Problem solver: Ability to approach and solve problems logically and systematically.
• Experience with Version Control, e.g. Git
• Self-starter who takes initiative on dev tasks and stories.
• Comfortable working in an agile development process.
• Must like dogs (they are in the office, everyday).

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in CS or related field / Bootcamp Graduate
